The Liga Futve or First Division of Venezuela is the highest division of soccer in Venezuela . Its organization depends on the Venezuelan Football Federation. The competition was founded in 1921 and was listed as an amateur during its early days. He did not make the leap to professionalism until 1957, due to the growth of the sport in the country and the inauguration of the Olympic Stadium of the Central University of Venezuela.

The team located in Barinas achieved its first three national championships in that period: 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2016.
